Job description

About Us:

Imagine being part of a dynamic health-tech startup dedicated to improving healthcare. Dr. Ansay’s journey began in 2018 with a visionary idea: the first digital ‘sick note’ in Germany. Since then, we've revolutionized the healthcare market and earned the trust of millions. Now, we are embarking on our next big step—providing easy and secure access to medical cannabis.

Your Mission:

At Dr. Ansay, you will take the lead as the architect and driver of our API integrations, seamlessly connecting doctors, pharmacies, and healthcare services. Your mission involves managing the development, ongoing operation, and scaling of our APIs—from technical design and performance monitoring to continuous improvement. You ensure that our APIs offer an outstanding Developer Experience (DX), setting a benchmark aligned with the best API practices.

As our Senior Technical Product Manager, you will take up a Product Owner role in a cross-functional team as well as full responsibility for defining and managing SLI, SLO and SLA metrics. You will expand the API to enable analytical insights while ensuring smooth integrations with our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • API Ownership: Full responsibility for strategy, architecture, and development of our APIs.

  • Technical Leadership: You lead a team of developers, prioritize features, and ensure exceptional API stability, security, and scalability.

  • SLI, SLO, SLA: Monitor API performance to ensure stability and high availability of integrations.

  • Developer Experience (DX): Ensure developers can easily use and integrate the API—from the first API call to full implementation—aligned with best-in-class API standards.

  • Data & Analytics: Expand the API to provide analytical insights that make our product smarter.

  • Roadmap & Stakeholder Management: Define the API product roadmap, prioritize requirements, and collaborate with partners and internal teams to achieve successful integrations.

Job requirements

Your Profile:

  • Experience: At least 5 years experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar roles (Tech Lead, Solution Architect) focused on API design, integrations, or platform products.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in API design, Service Reliability Agreements (SLI, SLO, SLA), and strong understanding of usage and potential of monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana) and API documentation tools (e.g. OpenAPI).

  • Technology Stack: Familiarity with JAMstack, JavaScript/TypeScript (for both frontend and backend), and cloud technologies on GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

  • DX Mindset: A deep understanding of the importance of excellent Developer Experience (DX) and the ability to think like a developer to enable efficient integrations.

  • Analytical Strength: Ability to identify patterns in data, define new KPIs, and develop data-driven solutions for API expansion.

  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in explaining technical concepts to both developers and non-technical stakeholders, including doctors, pharmacies, and other business partners.

Our Tech Stack:

  • JAMstack: Flexible, modern architecture.

  • JavaScript/TypeScript: Used in both frontend and backend development.

  • GCP: Our entire infrastructure operates on Google Cloud Platform.

What We Offer:

#Healthy420: Be part of the future of healthcare, enabling safe access to medical cannabis.

#RemoteWork: Flexibly work from anywhere and showcase your skills.

#AttractiveCompensation: Enjoy a top-notch salary.

#CreativeFreedom: Your ideas matter—bring them to life!

#TeamSpirit: Collaborate with passionate small teams that make a big impact.
